The wood rail build is the simplest of the wood builds. The same lightweight blank, used in the Bionic epoxy builds, is then wrapped around the rails with layers of balsa wood. This provides strength like a stringer but with a more dynamic flex and ride and is also less prone to rail shatters and stress cracks.
